I’ve learned the art of failing up? What is this, you ask? It’s practice of using every failure as an opportunity for success.

Les Brown puts it this way,” When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up.”

Here are a few tips that will allow failure to catapult you to the next level.

  1. Be accountable. Be accountable for your choices, actions and attitudes. I tell my boys that excuses are the language of failures. Admitting when you are wrong allows you to quickly get on the road to redemption.
  2. Turn your obstacles into opportunities. Beyoncé demonstrated this beautifully. Do you remember when Beyonce  was criticized about lip syncing during the Inauguration she silenced all of her critics by delivering a spine shivering live performance at a press conference.
